Hi! My name is Elizabeth...

I am currently a PhD student in electrical engineering at Auburn University. My research focuses on power quality - specifically harmonic impedance estimation.

After obtaining a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University in 2013, I chose to continue my studies at Auburn to earn a master's degree in order to learn more about power systems and prepare for a career working in industry. While working on my master's degree, I gained experience conducting research through work on my thesis; was able to reflect on my undergraduate studies and use my experience to inform my teaching for undergraduate engineering labs; and grew as a leader through service in graduate student governance. With encouragement from my academic advisor, I chose to pursue a doctoral degree and extend my interest in contributing to the field of power systems through education and mentorship via a career in higher education.

The experiences I have had throughout my academic journey have been the driving force in my continued education and career planning. I am committed to my work as a student, researcher, teacher, and leader so that I will be well equipped for an impactful career in higher education. Upon graduating, I will pursue a career in power systems engineering as and instructor and researcher.
